HOW I BUILD YOUR GUITAR
It all starts in my 88 square foot shop that I built in the corner of my garage. It's a little snug, but with some creative use of space, I've developed a system that works.
I like my woods local, and recycled, upcycled, repurposed, or salvaged whenever possible. My shelves hold around three dozen beautiful and unique tops to choose from, ready to be the focal point of your next guitar.
Guitars are built from a set of master templates that ensure accuracy and consistency across all models. A series of jigs and fixtures are used along the way to clamp, cut, drill, route, and shape each component.
Every Jayemar guitar comes standard with a custom set of pickups that I wind, on a pickup winder that I built myself. Thermoformed plastic and wood pickup covers are an option.
My guitar models - the Alma and the Iris - are named after my grandmothers. They were amazingly loving and generous women who left this world too early. This is my tribute to their memory.
