Jayemar Guitars at the 2021 Rose Quarter Guitar Festival
Guitar shows are a thing again! Come to Portland's Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, November 21st from 10am-4pm to see some awesome new, used, and vintage guitars and amps. I'll have three killer axes on my table at ridiculous prices. Stop by, say hi, try a guitar, and indulge your GAS. $15 and vaccination proof (or negative test) at the door.
At the 2019 Northwest Handmade Musical Instrument Exhibit
May 4 & 5, Portland Community College Sylvania Campus
With the closing of Marylhurst University in June 2018, Portland's longest-running musical instrument show needed to find a new home. Show organizers were happy to announce that it will now be hosted by Portland Community College at their Sylvania Campus in Southwest Portland.
Local Woods Challenge at the
2018 Vancouver International Guitar Festival
At the VIGF, I was proud to participate in the Local Woods Challenge along with seven other awesome international luthiers. The challenge? Simply to build a guitar with woods local to your geographic region (and NO exotic/tropical woods). This was easy for me, because Jayemar Guitars are always built with local, salvaged, and up-cycled woods. Thanks to Marc Saumier for organizing this event!
