​Custom Line
The Custom Line is only limited by your imagination.  Commissioning a Custom Line guitar or bass allows you to select a one-of-a-kind combination of ​woods, contours, string count, electronics, and appointments to create the guitar of your dreams!
Custom Line options include:
Body
Alder or poplar body core, hardwood cap.
  • Hardwood caps in stock include bookmatched and figured maple, walnut, and spalted/burled woods (other locally-sourced woods available)
  • Body contouring options include radiused and/or beveled edges; arm bevels and/or belly cuts
  • ​Alma cutaway option available at no additional cost
Guitar Neck​
1-, 2- or multi-piece maple neck with 2-way adjustable truss rod, carbon fiber reinforcement, angled or flat headstock, and a domestic hardwood or Richlite fingerboard:
  • Other neck woods available at no extra cost include walnut and cherry (including laminations)
  • Backstrap/faceplate and heel cap matches body wood cap
  • ​Glued-in (set-neck) construction available at additional cost (unless standard, e.g. Jessie Lynn and Wendy Ann)
  • ​Neck-through-body construction available at additional cost
Fingerboard woods in stock include maple, walnut, locust, madrone, Osage, North Indian Rosewood (sourced from Florida and Arizona), and Richlite:
  • 16 inch fingerboard radius
  • 24 (Iris, Jessie Lynn, and Wendy Ann) or 22 (Alma and Alma Archtop) nickel or stainless steel “jumbo” frets with stainless zero fret (other fret sizes and materials available at no additional cost)
  • Fret markers: Skur Composites glow-in-the-dark side and fretboard dots, or side dots only (no fretboard dots)
Custom neck profiles and thicknesses available upon request, otherwise standard profiles and thicknesses are:
  • Medium 'C' profile on 6-string necks; asymmetrical teardop (thicker on treble side) available on 7-string and 8-string necks
  • Standard thickness: .813" at 1st fret, .875" at 12th fret
​6-string neck features:
  • 1-11/16 inch nut width
  • 3x3 or inline headstock (reverse inline on Scorpio)
  • 25 inch treble to 26 inch bass multi-scale fretboard, neutral fret at the 12th
​7-string neck features:
  • ​1-7/8 inch nut width
  • 4x3 or inline headstock (reverse inline on Scorpio)
  • ​25-1/2 inch treble to 27 inch bass multi-scale fretboard, neutral fret at the 12th
​8-string neck features:
  • ​2-3/16 inch nut width
  • ​4x4 headstock only (reverse inline on Scorpio)
  • ​​26 inch treble to 28 inch bass multi-scale fretboard, neutral fret at the 12th.
bass neck

Bridge: Jayemar Guitars proprietary fixed bridge with GraphTech saddles in black anodized aluminum (standard), brushed aluminum, or polished brass
  • 6-string: 2.03 inch string spacing

Tuners:

Jayemar Guitars pickups are wound in-house, with a wide variety of switching and control options at no additional cost:
  • Pickups angled to match multi-scale
  • Two pickups standard: humbuckers and/or ​single coils
  • Choice of output: "vintage" (6.0k - 9.0k ohms DCR), medium (9.0k - 12.0k ohms DCR), or high (12.0k + ohms DCR)
  • Choice of magnet: AlNiCo 2, AlNiCo 5, or ceramic​
  • Pickups can be wound to "recipes" of commercially available models
  • Pickups are “open": custom pickup covers available at additional cost
  • One volume and one tone pot standard (one volume only on Jessie Lynn Scorpio): other volume and tone controls available at no additional cost
  • 3-way toggle switch standard (blade switch on Wendy Ann): many switching and control options available at no additional cost, for example...
    • 3-way toggle with two mini switches for single coil cut (8 possible pickup combinations)
    • ​5-position blade "super switch" with coil cut combinations
    • Treble ("high pass") and bass ("low pass") tone pots
    • Push/pull pots for coil cuts, phase switching, tone bypass, and more​
  • ​Switchcraft jack
