The Instruments
Jayemar Guitars are hand-crafted multi-scale, extended-range electric guitars, basses, and ukuleles. Instruments are built with locally-sourced and sustainable materials, and a variety of pickups wound in-house come standard on every instrument. Five models serve as the platforms for shape and general aesthetic, with three trim-lines of construction:
- The Iris, named after maternal grandmother, is the flagship model, with dynamic and eye-catching lines.
- The Alma model, named after my paternal grandmother, is a modern and sensual take on a classic shape, with a simple single cutaway (or none).
- Named after my wife, the Jessie Lynn models feature visually stunning modern design and light-weight, tonally-responsive construction.
- Named after my mother (daughter of Iris), the Wendy Ann model is a reimagined version of the Iris, with a bold double cutaway and set neck.
- While reminiscent of class, mid-century jazz boxes, the Alma Archtop model stretches the Alma shape to a 15 inch modern take on the archtop.
- Yes, even ukuleles can be multi-scale! Check out the mini Iris and Alma solid-bodies, or the semi-hollow acoustic Lily Lou, named after my daughter.
- The Oil & Vinegar Line is a stripped-down rocker with an all-walnut construction and one pickup.
- The Essential Line presents a standard offering of high-quality features, distilled to the essence of a Jayemar guitar or bass.
- The Custom Line is on limited by your imagination. Commissioning a Custom Line guitar or bass allows you to select a one-of-a-kind combination of woods, countours, string count, electronics, and appointments to create the guitar of your dreams!
